Japanese Name Boat Enola Gay — Slaughter Dolphins

This video of a Dolphin massacre in Japan is pretty bad. Usually I have a pretty good tolerance for this type of thing, but this one was very unsettling.

I am NOT clicking on that link. I made the mistake last week of watching a video depicting the fur trade in China. I could only make it about 1 minute, as it consisted of raccoons and dogs being skinned alive and thrown into a large bin, while still fully aware. I’m having a hard time getting the vision of a dog trying to stand up and struggle for breath, atop a mound of animals in a similar predicament. It looks like a creature can live quite long after losing its skin. What’s crazy is that this occurs all day, everyday in China to support the “fake” fur demand in the US. A large percentage of fake fur is actually illegal dog and racoon fur. They skin them alive, as slitting their throats damages the hide, and breaking their necks is “too much trouble.”

Ah dammit, curiosity got the best of me, and I ended up watching the video. It was awful, but I must admit, the aforementioned Chinese fur video was MUCH, MUCH worse. Desensitization can be a terrible coping mechanism…how else can you explain these atrocities?

Ok, so where is the link to this Chinese fur video… I am ashamed to admit that I want to see it now.

Well I did read this story this morning which is disturbing in a different way and involves a dog.
