I have spent more money at Tower Records than at any other record store. News that the winning bid in its bankruptcy auction is by a company that is going to shut down all of the stores, liquidate all of the inventory, and fire all of the employees is sad. This obituary from the Sacramento Bee sums it up best.
I will miss Tower and it will make me yearn all the more for some decent brick and mortar record stores.
